Increase/Decrease attack range with triggers

Is there any way that i can set up a trigger so that when a unit picks up a certain wepon it will increase or decrease their attack range?

Base it off Orb of Corruption and make it a set range; that's all I can think of, other than:
1: Using upgrades (bad)
2: Making unit copies for each weapon (worse)
