just move it to the right. if its flating use, CTRL page down. to move up CTRL page up. to move it select it and hold down the mouse button and drag it to the right.

move it in we or make the river wider.

I think that you can move bridge whereever you like in your stance. You can movi it left, right, up and down.

Ever try just creating another bridge?

Yeah, many times. Same location, no difference.

Hold SHIFT over the desired spot and it might work

That is one of the favorite things I can do with shift

SHIFT can:
1: Clear up pathing in some cases (not all) and let you place doodads over doodads or in invalid spots
2: Allow you to give units negative attack or hitpoints when you hold shift and doubleclick the area you want to change in object
