trnaslucent parts?

how do you make some parst see-through, but not invisible like alphaing out? one example is the crytal golem. please help.

Aside from half-alphaing it out, there's a certain type of modifier for that... Blargh, can't remember. Addiative I think, thats what hero glows use and thats semi-transparent

do you know how to apply this to the model, im still pretty much illiterate when it comes to these terms.

there is some tinting trigger for transparancy. if you have ever played dobrp, (its dead now). i dont know it but it is some trigger. it might be a 4th tinting group too.

Screw the damn trigger, that only effects it in one map. This is the models forum, we say "Screw the damned triggers"

Anywho, in the Materials section, there's various modifiers, like "Normal" and "TeamColor". Just make it "Addiative" or something like that, should work

my modeling program has a function so you can create a mesh plane, scale it bigger, subdivide however many times you wanna, then blanket it over an object at a distance you set, and also asks whether you want it transparent, and using a different 'jargon' than 'alphaing'...i think its adieabguirbekjvbkhfd.

and

you can also export that one piece to a geoset merge, and make it invisble in geosetanims
