How do I import a skin, but still be able to use original?

I want to import a skin and put on a model, but still have the original skin/model on my map. How can I do that?

If you are using a priest, sorceress, or the elven worker, then you can use the ROC versions (Requires path knowledge). Otherwise, you use mdl editing and create a new model. More in one of the half-assed stickies in the models forum
