Units walk back!!!!!

Hi,

I have a little problem:

My map is based on a .. well, the idea is, you have to defend a specific unit from hordes of attacking units, who give money and EXP to you and your hero. Only my problem is: I get the enemies spawned, they start to Attack-move to the unit I'm defending, BUT all of a sudden it goes wrong: they start walking back to where they spawned!

In almost every map I have ever made, this annoying problem has occurred, and now is the first time I got so sick of it, that I went to look for help. My question is: IS THERE ANYONE HERE WHO HAS/HAD THIS TOO, AND FIXED IT?!?! AND HOW ?!?!

thanks for any help, Araknid

When you make a neutral-player-owned unit, before you give it the move or attack order, tell it to ignore guard position.

Also, go to Advanced > Gameplay Constants and increase the return distance a lot.

That should fix it up for you.

Well, I have now changed the return distance, but I cant find ignore guard anywhere. Is that a trigger? if so, under what category??

thanks :)

Nooooo problem. This was a bit of setback for me until I realized that the neutral players were using creep AI. Glad to hear you've got it working.

To my knowledge, "Can Flee" doesn't do much in game without using AI components. It sounds like your enemies are operating under an AI setting. Are you using the melee AI? Did you make an AI and apply it? If so, then one of those is messing you up.
