I feel like I'm wasting time using the world editor...

maybe you should move to UsEast, we get gladiators, escape gay space, stackerz td, and occasionnal brand new maps

Please, don't even remind me of the battle.net chat room. It's probably the most unmaintained internet place ever. They'll probably just ignore you or just flame you back. So yeah, go to a private channel. At least you'll feel much better.

Battle.net chatrooms are loaded with clan bots...
Hell...people only respond to them if they have a trivia bot in their clan channel...

1 in 100? That's being rather optimistic. Seems like the only way to get a map popular, is to find a big name map makers, steal one of his maps, make it "733t" with imbalances so that experienced players can slaughter people whio dont know all the secrets and call them "pwning n00bs" when they win, and immature humor/imported files and slap your name on it. Even the worlds best mappers dont get their maps on bnet. There doesnt seem to be any real guidline that does, minus what I mentioned above. This goes for all servers.

And heaven forbid that you host a map that actually takes more then one try to master....

Lol so true, so many dota and tag type games on uswest. The only way your going to make your map popular or fun or to try to get other people to play it is, to host it yourself and play it a lot of times, Ive done that only with a few, gets boring though over and over. Most reasons why people dont host maps its cause they still dont know how to configure firewalls ports, or there connections are very slow(56k)or they dont like it, as for most 56kers, they would host small maps like sheep tag or something under 150kb since 56k limit upload is 5kb/sec. Thats how i was with dialup ,never hosted anything above 300kb. Since i have dsl now, i host prety much anything 100kb-4mb. Never liked dota, gets awefully boring over time, as goes for tob. Would like to see new types of maps. Anyway im like the only person that host different type of maps here lol, any new map that was submitted to this site , i usually go play it online, like to see whats its about.

And I don't play on Battle.net. I hardly ever play WC3 anymore...WoW has claimed my soul. I'm still trying to figure out if that's good or bad though...
