We can't really know. Blizzard havn't left us with any clue, but actually the scripting language is called JASS2. My guess is that either it doesn't stand for anything, or it is the initials of the developers or thier kids or other relatives (programmers are wierd).
plz forgive me if I'm totally wrong, but I thought that Warcraft 3 utilised some complex C/C++ programming w/ DriectX support, not Java...
