Arcane Competition

So for this our spells must fit into one of the different sections? Like say if I make what I plan on doing, the Rogue, for a spell that summons two blades that spin around each other around a point and damage guys who come to close, what would that be under? Bah this is going to complicate the simple usage of the WE with trying to fit stuff into a section, damn it all

By only WE and UMSWE I mean that you are not allowed to use WEU or other enchanced WE. So you are allowed to use custom models if they fit well (but you won't just get extra points for using a custom model instead of a normal model... But in some cases where you have no other alternative to make the spell fit in... You can surely use custom models) along with JASS/GUI. So how could this be more difficult for you? DId you use WEU? If you did... sorry. But most of the spells done in WEU can be done in WE (like... 98%?)

And your spell is just excellent for projectile section (doesn't it cast two dummy units which act like projectiles? The projectiles being the blades). So good luck!

Oh no you don't understand me, I never use WEU. I strictly keep to GUI since anything you can do with th other tools you can do with the normal interface. What makes it difficult is that I now have to think, which I will be the first to point out is not an area of expertise for me. I can't just come up with spells I will need to fit them into a section. Oh well. Is there a limit on how mant sections we can enter in?

You may submit into all sections one spell, but the spell must unique. By this I mean that you can't submit a spell to two sections and neither can you submit more than one spell to a single section.

once it's over how about you put all the spells onto one map (or at least try), that could have an arena with monsters and stuff to test them on

i'll probly enter in the time, projectile, and elemental categories. i know i wont get high ratings or anything, but i'll have a good time nonetheless

I read the rules but im confused, do we submit 1 map with 1 spell? or 1 map with as many spells as we can fit? also when is the deadline?

Even though I am just starting out I'm lovin this stuff. Its just so intuitive and easy to problem solve. Though it will take me a while perhaps I will submit one in time.

Strikur: You can submit one map with the maximum of 1 spell per section (max of 8 spells in the map), but it is not required to make a spell per section. Deadline: May 1.

Do arcane based spells count in this competition, or just the elements you listed?

Alright I'm starting my spells and when it came time for me to write up my ideas I hit the chain section. You said we can't use Vexorians template. What is his template anyway? I tried downloading it but my computer doesn't want to unzip the folder so I cant check to see what it is. Please help

Modeler... Just the ones I listed. Sorry... And you can submit however you like the spells. A map can include 1,2,3 or how many spells you like. Just keep in mind to mention which spell is for which section.

I'll enter maybie, but can't you just save the orb pictures, then add them to your signature?

Well I worked damn hard and I finally finished my spells. To check what section the spell belongs to look at the bottom of each spells learning tooltip, there is a little blurb that says the section it is meant for. Oh and to Daelin you may say that my Blind spell was already made by me but this is the good version, if you disqualify it because I once made one that was a noobier fine but don't tell me that I already made it

it's ok that you posted them so fast but I won't be looking over the spells untilt he contest is finished. Besides... I still have to reinstall wc3.

And as for the orbs, I already have them on my sig. And the ones that win a certain section (either gold, silver or bronze)will get an orb for each section where they win. The orbs are different for sections.

And guys, I'm afraid I lost the orbs as well during the formatting process. But don't worry... I can still extract them from the signature. Thank god I thought to make them public.

Yea, I got that part, but I could just copy the orbs picture, then add it to MY signature. Anyone here with the small knowledge it takes could do it... even edit a few orbs out to make it less obvious. It just seems like this prize isen't much incentive, but i'll still enter
