There are no free modelling tools that I know of.

You could use milkshape editor.
Go to google and search for milkshape and you might find a site.[/code][/b]

There is a free demo or something called AC3D, but you save models as .3ds and have to find converting things to turn it into .MDX hope this helps!

the only problem is, that warcraft uses "bones" animations which aren't supported by milkshape

please correct me if i'm wrong

Most modelling tools are very expensive and not everyone can model, I can't model because the modelling tools are so expensive and hard to use.
I know gmax, 3ds Studio Max and milkshake. Find more on www.download.com because they have the best programs! remember they aren't free (around 15 - 60 days trial)

I forgot to tell you that I discovered a alternative to 3ds studio max - 3D Canvas. Its not the best it has decent features which you guys will need (animation for example) everyone should try it out - its only $69.
