This tool rather suck. I give 1,5/10. While you fix all bugs i'll give 9/10 cause i realy like thy idea and it could be realy usefull.
-look nice (10/10)
-work slowly
-pasive icons mode just make simple black frame aroun your icon (while original pasive icons frame slowly turn from picture to black)
-no undo/redo function
-i had to reset it few times and i woked only about a minute (i got win xp and java 5.0 updete 6)

By the way, have u noticed that ikon maker should have impresive icon? ;P

You will need to install JAVA application, since it has no EXE it runs with the JAR, usually limewire auto installs the java aplication needed since limewire works with java as well.

Ok everything works ive downloaded it and opened it but now how can i create a new icon and paint in it??? or is it only for pasting or something?

PS: If you could, please send me the source code; maybe it would have been a good idea to make it in C++ than in JAVA cause some people don't have Java updated or Java at all

This thing really sucks, it is extremely hard to use. It lags when you move your cursor and it is very hard to make a good image >.<. You need to update this.

Ramza, to export texture with Warcraft 3 Model Editor by Magos, open texture you want, then go to Windows -> Texture Manager, right-click texture you want to export, and click "Export".

i can't open the program coz i need something that opens .jar files i know they have something to do with java but it wont let me get it can some1 post something about this soon im in the middle of making some maps and if i put random buttons down it would look slpadashed and scruffy! any ideas

K, I know how to open all the icons, but now ive 2 more questions:
1) How do u recolour icons? (like making whole the critical strike icon more purple)
2) how do u make icons auto cast? cuz when I opened an excisting icon and press autocast the icon disappears.

Main mpq file is War3.MPQ, if you want expansion then War3x.MPQ.

ok ok, you need a tool called winmpq, you can found them in this section. then you can open the *.mpq files in your wc3 directory and search in the *mpq file for *blp. the buttons are listed under BTN...blp.

i can tell you the name of the main *mpq file because i have linux on my computer and no wc3 installed, so you have to search .

I know I have to convert, but before I can convert excisting icons, I need to extract or export em from wc3 right? so where can I find excisting icons? (The only program where I found all WC3 Icons was 'WC3 Model Editor', but that program does only export/save mdl or mdx files...)

2. to ramza, in this version you can open bmp tga files, so you have to convert a blp file first, but i work on a blp support, that means blp1 and blp2
3.to bukibuki, you need java on your system, then type for example c:\java -jar filename, but i will add a exe file for win users

How can i start this program?

1. Make an undo function.
2. Make a Chance Active icon function, because if someone wants to make the icon passive, he won't be able to make it active again. Moreover, this will allow to make simple images into warcraft icons.
3. It took me a while to figure that I could move the cursor with A, S,D and W.
4. Hue Saturation can take quite some while if you want on the full screen. You should make a 0x0 cursor or something to include all the icon.

Pretty nice tool. If you add these stuff and maybe improve the selection (it is extremely hard but better than nothing) it will be pretty useful.

PS: I first tried with WC3 viewer and then extract, but it doesnt have every icon. and WC3 Model Editor CAN open all icons but cant save em....
