I've had this tool for quite some time now, and must say that it is excellent, and much needed. I give it a lot of use. It's an excellent tool even just for resizing stuff (best of all, it's free!). Resizing is what I mainly use it for, but it's also excellent for converting files (it supports a ton of file types). It's also good for image viewing.

Anyways, this is well worth the download.

I have paintshop pro 9, and the .tga file format that you can save pictures in with it crashes warcraft 3. So i have to use this to save the pics to .tga so that is wont crash.

Yeah its a truly great program but the only thing that sucks is that if you convert a file it makes them bigger as if you'd convert in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

Really good image tool. Quick, fast, portable, easy to use, does not consume much memory and converts lots of popular image formats, even a VALID .tga to import in WE. Edit: Warning! this version is outdated! please download version 3.90 at their official website - www.irfanview.com they are not much serious/servere changes but it is recommended to stay update on this world's #1 all-in-1 useful previewer tool.

I have updated my irfanview (yes I use irfanview it ownz) so you should to. Remember if you just finished an icon make sure you use Irfanview to open it and save it as Irfanview's .tga because it works for import manager use.
