How to make a skin step by step using Gimp 2
Tools needed:
Gimp 2
Wc3 Image Extractor II
a Brain in your head
A candy bar to eat while reading this
1. Go to the Wc3 Image Extractor and click on a image (skin) you want to reskin, save it as an TGA (or else it wont work)
2. OPEN GIMP
3. Open an image by clicking on the button Open...
4. Make your changes by painting and playing around with the tools.
5. SAVE YOUR SKIN DO IT BY CLICKING ON SAVE AS...
6. Save it as TGA
7. UNCHECK THE RLE
8. Open Wc3 Image Extractor II.exe
9. Open your skin
10. Save your skin as a BLP
11. Open your map
12. Import the skin by using the Import manager
13. Set the path for the skin by going to the object editor click on the model
14. copy the path from the model and go to the Import manager.
15. Pick your skin
16. Remove all the Text
17. Paste the Path with an .Blp at the end
18. Save your map by clicking Save As
19. Set the name of the map to HardGamerDz Helped Me!
20. Exit the World Editor
21. Open The World Editor
22. Watch your beutiful skin you made!
23. Send an PM to HardGamerDz and thank him for helping you
24. Wait for another PM with the words in: No Problems man!
25. Make some more skins and maps!
If you have some problems with your skin you could insted of the Path like creeps/creeps/sheep (or something like that) You can use Textures/Footman.blp
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER TO SAVE THE MAP BEFORE EXIT THE WORLD EDITOR!
