Originally made for TTOR, people might find it useful, it is a template program to allow mod makers to make patchers for their programs, so they update the large mpqs instead of releasing new BIG ones with every new version

.. think its some shit huh? xD
if anyone does not know what this program values for.. i shall tell you

when youve got a mod usually people intend to release it in a custom mpq

for some of the mod makers its a good idea to beable to fix any bugs of sort in your mod. thus a new version.

but if you dont wish to create a whole other mpq file.
i think this is ware this tool comes in.
i havnt tried it becuse i dont make mods but i believe
that is what its for.
im not understanging you gandalf. but if im correct what you think an mpq is a map..
its not mpq is a blizzard archive file and in some mpqs you might find maps. but mpq is not a map.
how does it work????
Yes, I know that Maps are MPQ's. I was just curious if this will work on maps. Because it would be really nice to only have one version of a map floating around instead of like 10.
YAHOO!!! nice tools and nice site
This will be cool for some people who have biiig maps and 56k bandwidth like me ;)
Seems I forgot to add an option for map files, but anyways, why to use it for maps? releasing the map itself instead of with the patcher wouldn't add too much space I guess.

Anyways it seems I will add .exe , w3n , w3m , and w3x as options next version
NO! lols! Did you all dnld it? NO. Its a tool to patch files with .mpq ending. No other typer of files can be patched. :(
Maps are mpqs. It works for maps as well. What it basicly does is to add files from one mpq file you have included into another, which may also be a map. It is also idiot proof in the way that the map has to have a certain file before you can patch it so you won't patch the wrong file.
By MPQ you do mean it works with maps right?

So it automatically patches your map whenevery you release a new version?!?

That could be really helpful. Everyone has the same version, never have to download again once you've got it. Hmmm Hope I understand correctly.
What`s the point with that :?: Might be good stuff but still
Hummm... For me its useless...
But vex i think you should make a patcher that patchs maps! Will be cool. :=)
