Wtf happened?

When I click on RaceInstaller that runs it, it says Open Map.

So I pick a map to use to put the race in.

I check create backup so I don't totally lose the map.

But then it totally messes up going on saying, "Error! File couldn't be imported!" "Error! File couldn't be imported!" "Error! File couldn't be imported!"

First time trying the tool out, figured out you have to actually EXTRACT the files instead of just dropping em in a folder BUT its pretty cool, a few things could be fixed though. Gnoll Poachers tooltip for when u buy it says Poarcher and wc3 doesnt use qwerasdfzxcv as the hotkeys which kinda ruins the close-to-melee part lol. The one goblin shredder hero has 3 grenade skills wtf... Tool Tip Missing! on the ogre hero as well. but 5/5 because its so easy to use, custom models, lots of ideas... though if u dont have drainei in the mine carts u can still use em, but they turn into retards lol

WTF! i dled this and installed to my footy map and it fucked with all of my units and spells n all that shit wuts up with that?

:? something happens when i put it on my map... but im not sure if you made it for v1.18... when i load the map it just goes black... is there a newer version around cuz i was told this tool is good, just dont work for me... but by the sounds of it i'd give it a 5/5 if it worked. :D

Hm... I gues what the problem can be. If the map isn't open automatically by the worldeditor, maby if you hasn't install wc3 right, you must open the map by your self with the worldeditor and save it. :wink:

Yes you're right. But it's an executable and the file extension is illegal to upload it to the map-section ;)
And I'm very happy that wc3sear.ch allowed me to post it here. I don't think as many people would have downloaded the mod when it was "Just another Warcraft III Map" :P

i liked but i don't see it as a tool it's more like a different game like a custom map for play in bnet :wink:

And this doesn't work at all, Tried installing it in circunvention and it messes the camera bounds making you unable to play the map, you can just select your race and after that you just see your units trapped on some mountains

Did you use the installer on a TFT 1.17 standard melee map ?
It should work fine and I've tested it with dozens of maps without having any problems. Beside that most people gave me very positive feedback about the installer. I can't think of a reason why it should change anything to the camera bounds. :shock:
About MPQDraft: sorry I thought you meant somethin else. Maybe I take a closer look at it.

@Warden: What are you talking about ? Just in case there's a major bug the program would only ereas the map you've selected to install the race. It doesn't touch any other map files.
And what do you mean by "nothing happened" ? Did the world-editor came up, after you've installed the race ? Was the map ok but you can't play the new race ?

Sorry, but I think mpq-drafts suck. They change the whole game and therefore it's more likely that they will kill your installation. Besdies that it's only possible to have one mod installed at a time.
With a map-installer it's easy to spread your maps with the new race and it's easy to extract all the data.

a MPQDRAFT patch is a program that runs and voila! it is like you had all the stuff in the mpq, but it doesn't change the mpqs, so you can have many at the same time, UMSWE, WEU , AMAI use that for instance.

Did you actually start the map ? You can select the new race right after the start.

Did you do the following:
-start Race Installer
-select a map
-clicked Install
-saved the map in the World-Editor
-created a custom game with the modified map (a creep-rebellion logo should appear instead of the minimap)

well, i did all the combinations i could think of, but there was no new race availble on my map, i mean, i instaled then creep rebelion instaler, noting, try turning the map on and off, nothing!
i DID make sure about 5 times that it was on that map, but nomatter what i did the creep rebellion race wouldn't come up anywhere!

The same happened with amai, I think a mpqdraft patch is better, because this ends with people having tons of maps with huge size. Now about the mod I will talk later.



i am not familiar with the way people create their own tools or how they do it, but from what i understand is this tool will automaticaly import models and textures and give them the correct path name so that the map is ready to go in just a few clicks. now, on the 'full inventory' script by DimonT & Illisor alot of people have been demanding an easier way to import all those files becuase some have spent hours trying to make it work with another map. i was wondering if it was possible to make a tool specificaly for that script, which would take all those files and import them into another map, just like the way this tool works with the textures and models for the creep rebellion race. In other words, have the tool import all the models and textures from the fullscreen inventory into another map with just a few clicks. Im sure DimonT & Illisor, and all the other users of their script would appreciate it alot. i know i would

That thing is way old, better systems that don't need models, are multiplayer compatible and don't pause the game were released.

No I'm sorry (i had code this tool) I'm not able to make this for mac. I only can code windows-tools. If some want to have the sourcecode of this tool, just send me a pm. :)
