Download simple edition from the amai website. Then all you do is double click the exe and amai is in the game.

The AMAI program won't load for me.
When I click on it, it says "Blizzard.j is mising in the installer folder, commander installtion disabled."
Then it says "No AI files found, Installation disabled."

It's not to do what AI does normally, it does what other players do normaly,

They rush, they tower, theytech up..... nothing strange or anything else amusing....

You can't really do that without merging the common.ai files. Besides AMAI has not really been developed for AI vs. AI battles. So it is pretty unsure how it would fare . It is rather made for providing an interesting and not always the same experience. Many of the features in AMAI have been made for that.

You can use this on a Mac. Only the installer does not work on a Mac since I do not have any MPQ-library for a Mac. You can use any MPQ-Editor to put the AI files on a map. That will work too.
To remove the AI from a map, you have to remove the .ai files from the map.

Why the ****in' Hell you couldn't make a version for MAC? I would use it in my map, but I've got a MAC, so there is no way to use it. 
I'm from Germany and Zalamander is from Sweden so the Romanian text has not been written by us. On the AMAI site (address is up there) you can download the Developers edition of AMAI which allows to easily add or change languages. So feel free to write better dialogues for Romanian or any other language. There is also an Add Chat functionality on the AMAI site that allows to submit chat lines to be added to AMAI.
BTW, this version here (2.1) is not up to date. You can download the newest version (currently 2.2) from the AMAI site (I can't change it here since I am not the one who submitted it).

This rocks... Especially since it has romanian support (I'm from Romania...). Pretty lame dialogues though. Where are you from anyway?

This is some great AI, but it has a major bug. I can consistently beat Computer(Insane) by using an Orc Tower Rush. I send a hero and 4 peons and start building towers out of his view, then slowly move towards his base while constructing a barracks there to lend siege support.
The computer has a rather large army, but it certainly can't stand up to my towers with the peons always repairing them.
However, the army could easily take out my base. With a great hall, an altar, a burrow, and a mill--there wouldn't be too much resistance. And once my gold supply is eliminated, the towers would certainly fall. But rather than launching this devastating counter-attack, it tries to defend its base and ultimately loses.

hehe sonds like you got your hands on the old X-Mas edition somehow. no idea why since it haven't been up for download for a good while now.
