My English isn't the best, but I'll try to give my comment too.
WoW is a game that puts many kinds of people together. There are always people who don't care much about things, don't show much respect etc.
Others do, some others even try to bee good humans, be fair.
Lots of people are acting different in games than they would normally do in real life. They just behave like shit, write stupid things because they just see it as a game.
But they forget, that they still interact with other human beings. That's sad, but it's just the way it is.
As I read about the event I thought that it's a great way to show respect and the spirit, that this isn't only a game, but a medium, that puts people together.
Though in my opinion it was foreseeable, that this slaughter would happen.
Well, the good guys are always suffering from the bad guys... I don't think, that will ever change.

That is so low...

Had Groot (from realm Scarlet Crusade) been there, he would have swung his Destiny upside EACH and EVERY one of their fucking heads.

Only the alliance would do something so fucking immature...they have no honor or morales...

I would like everyone to know that Raid Awesome on Scarlet Crusade will honor our fallen comrade.

RIP...

Well, again Ki, context. This is a beloved guild member here, not a pet. Someone's pet passing away has absolutely nothing to do with wow since ones pet never gets a chance to build any kind of relationship with other players, and I doubt a memorial service for a guildie's pet would draw much of a crowd. But a well-liked and regular player would.

And this was not a "crime of opportunity" where there just happened to be a raid party passing through and saw a group of horde. They read the announcement and planned it. That makes them even worse in my book. I'm sorry, but I dont think blaming the victems is the way to go on this one.

Reporter Matt540 on the scene, I infiltrated their base, http://serenity-now.org/ and found they actually thought it was humorous that they had slaughtered many innocents and crashed that funeral at:
http://serenity-now.org/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=4310

I really hate when people just barge in and cause that much destruction for comedy, almost on-line terrorist attacks. Man, I want WoW now, and I want to know how to spread a corrupt blood glitch to all serenity-now members. That was just gay.

I agree VG. That person obviously was well respected, and didnt you say earlier she was considered to blizzard as, "the kindest person you could ever meet?"

Its sad to some people when somebody passes away. Im not saying I dont care, even though im not really conserned since i dont play WoW, Im just saying those people are black-hearts that need to be banned from WoW for desturbing a public service.

At memorials you are expected to show a certain amount of respect, even if you dont like the person, because you are in the company of those who do. Political debates and the such do not have that sanctity. My original stance remains.

Yeah...some people are to childish to learn., They read porn, will get no girlfriend, and have no life whatsoever. That reminds me of that one post you wrote about Joethenakedhippo almost...

Man, I hate it when idiots like that come and ruin everything for comedy. Hold on, i cant post anymore, so busy seeing if I can afford WoW's pay to play policy and seeing how to revive the "corrupt blood" plague to slay and utterly destroy Serenity now. Heck, do they even know the deffinition of serenity? They really will never grow up...Tell them toi stop using oversized words and use words that the can understand (If they understand proper english even!)

*sigh* I feel terrible for that one person...I will place the digital tomestone i made right here in honor of him/her.

QUOTE: They shouldn't have been stupid enough to do it in a contested zone. A funeral could've easily been pulled off in say, the Stormwind Cathedral and they wouldn't have had to worry about being ganked.

RESPONSE: Ahem have you forgot about the part were it was both Horde and Alliance ceremony????????? IF they were to have it at Stormwind's Cathedral of Light wouldn't you think the hordes would get ganked by NPCs. The ceremony was held at Winterspring bc 1. It was a fallen's favourable area of choice and 2. It was contested so that no one from a particular Alliance would get killed by NPCs. So VGSatomi remains to stand clear. FYI it was a ceremony attended both by Alliance and Horde. Fuyururu stated it clear for yall!!!

Hmm... i saw that slaughter Video and thought it was so funny (cause i didnt know it was a real funeral -.-) I think blizzard should make Areas in PVP servers that are like no battle zones so people can hold funerals there o.o but that is just sick and i hope some people hack that clans Ip address's f**k there comps up real good, hack there accounts, find where they live and masicure them all.. i think its a good thing to go to jail for atleast :P be doing the world a good thing to get rid of jerks like them.. and make sure they dont have a funeral at all just like burn there bodys etc.. for kinda evil renvenge.. but in some ways doing all that would be being just as bad as them so a no win situation.. AKA why they call it LIFE -.- (LIFE SUX)

That makes them even worse in my book.

I agree.

I'm sorry, but I dont think blaming the victems is the way to go on this one.

I'm not blaming them; I'm only trying to communicate that going around people like that is the only thing they could have done and they didn't. My comparisons seem to be making you think that I am off context, but I am only saying that Blizzard cannot take responsibility for it.

They shouldn't have been stupid enough to do it in a contested zone. A funeral could've easily been pulled off in say, the Stormwind Cathedral and they wouldn't have had to worry about being ganked.

Precisely.

It was contested so that no one from a particular Alliance would get killed by NPCs.

If part of the game is based on destroying the opposing force, you should always forsee other people messing things up. Who knows who the person behind the character really is? You don't. It isn't Blizzard's responsibility to manage all death ceremonies and to give the wreckers a dishonorable kill.

If the game was monitored perfectly and all aspects of the game were controlled, should they get a dishonorable kill? Sure, but you can't expect that because Blizzard isn't obligated to do it.

And with that my arguement remains that Blizzard can't be expected to live up to what other people want them to. Essentially they made and update the game for profit.

If they did get a dishonorable kill from this what diffrence would it make? that dosent reali solve anything.. giving a Dishonorable kill is just like telling some one off and doing nothing about it -.-

Illidan Realm

It is always sad to see a Hero fall in any place, especially for those of you who play World of Warcraft and Warcraft III. For some it is a game... But for others, its an escape to another world from the ordinary day-to-day life. People get lost in it. The ecstacy of a victory of a time period roughly Medieval to our architecture standards is the best way to get lost in... I offer any support I can, and I will soon be joining the Illidan server, as a handle to remember this person, probably Winterspring, as a loving memory to her favorite hangout. I would like the e-mails of the people who attended and organized this funeral, and the date, for an anneversary in memory of this fallen hero.
As to the Hero that has fallen; i offer these words of rememberance; Ish-Nu-Falah Dal-dan-dieb, and may Elune shine upon you

Dishonorable kill is just like telling some one off and doing nothing about it -.-

Thanks for ruining the dispute DarkNinja23. If I would have known this earlier, that would eliminate half of my arguement.

But on the other half I still think allowing enemy players to join was a bad idea. You can't trust people online. The ones who were on the opposite side at the ceremony could have easily made a new character on the other team and joined in, making it easier to not choose the PVP area for it.

I'm beginning to believe that this is way too trivial to be argued about. Maybe on this site I talk more because I think its cool being able to talk to people from other countries.

mabey they could of all gone on a RP server and gone there ? if im right u cant fight on RP servers without turning on ur PVP mode.. :P that would solve everything, but then they wouldnt have there special clothes etc.. but they could find some kind people to get them the clothes on a RP server..? then have held it on a RP server.. (or is it Normal servers that have the turn PVP On/Off ?)

Life is like that damnit. And this is a game we're talking about! Look, things 100x worse than this happen everyday, and I'm not gonna waste any sympathy on this. Besides, tons of people on WoW now know about it. They probably have painted a target on themselves.
#28
if she got a stroke from playing the game and you did a memorial in the game well... i dunno
#29
I'd just like to pay my respects to the departed, again.
WoW to many people is more than a Game. Im Australian, so i dont know if its the same everywhere, but in the news there hav been quite a few articles on families who use WoW to keep connected with distant reletives, calabration etc.
Basically, some people take WoW alot more seriously than others, and even if you dont agree, you should at least be respectful to those who do.
