Sadly it seems you guys are headed downhill, a while ago i left Warcraft III to move onto bigger things, got engaged, played WoW, etc.
Now that I have returned to texturing using my new graphics/modeling prowess, i find this place flooded with cheap knockoffs..
I see nothing but cheap geomerges, ripped WoW models, etc anymore, i haven't even bothered to look at the skin section for fear of what I'll find.
Occasionally I bump into something nice, usually something by Moleman (<3) but just seeing the first page made me twitch...
Is Darky even alive anymore, and will there ever be the "Great Purging" that has been prophesized for so many ages, because as it stands it takes me FOREVER to open up a damn page around here, and I know the 300 gigs of recolred abominations aren't helping the problem out much...
I'm just curious as to whats been going on since i left.. it seems like this place has turned into total anarchy...

BTW, for those of you who remember my warhammer 40k skin (twitches at its horrendousness) I will be remaking that along with the model to resemble a marine a little better, and my favorite team, the Daemon Hunters =)

I don't like all those models of future themes. Can't they make anything else realistic to warcraft? I mean, not every map is based on real life thingies or starcraft.
I wish they would've made me a moderator.. damn I swear I'd clean out anything that looks like it was made by a 5th grader I can find...
But no, apparently I haven't submitted enough stuff to be a moderator.. I mean I couldn't skin back then but I sure as hell know a good skin from a bad one..
I'm just pissed you guys are allowing such plagerism as people swipe WoW models and post them as their own, and stupid noobs wander in there and go "zomg best model ever"...
People are earning reputations off of work that ISN'T theirs.. thats whats pissing me off, wc3sear.ch is not a gallery for real works anymore, its nothing more than a "ooh i can geomerge the shamans head on the grunts body" or "I can rip the WoW models and convert them!"
I really wonder why this site even exists anymore besides maps and spells, those are the only sections that even seem sane anymore...
I'm afraid to even post my new works anymore, for fear they will be overwhelmed and launched to the back page by the oncoming flood of horrible shit that fills this website...

They don't make people mods who ask to be mods. and the number of submissions obiviously is totaly irrelavant if you compare the number of submissions of some mods to other users (no offence to the mods). and I think THAT is the main problem that way you won't get new mods and the site will stay undermoderated, and die a slow death.
And also of course a big prob is Darky's absence to my knowledge, VG has just as much power as Darky, but he doesn't know enough about coding so he can't fix things and stuff.
and btw, Mecheon is also still active, I almost don't see any of the others any more.

Still active and moderating here.
If I could, I would purge this WoW shit. I prophesized the great noobifying of wc3sear.ch if the WoW models were allowed. And it came at near the magnitude I predicted. However, if I deleted them, everyone would hate me. And, I have been instructed not to.
wc3search desperately need a big cleanup and a new set of moderators for alot of the sections, but ah well, that probaply isent gonna happen and this site will rot away slowly. Also some people to actually do improvements upon the site could be needed, but that surely isent gonna happen.
Some of the basic stuff to fix is removal of the "Switch to WC3C style" link, removal of the "Tutorial" link and removal of the "Chat" link, since these 3 things all are unnescesary, doesent work or bugs up the site.
Also some forums could be removed such as the DotF news forum and DotF normal forum. It never got finnished and never will.
I understand.. at least change ownership to Blizzard Entertainment, like Darky did before =/
and btw i never asked to be a moderator, someone suggested it a LONG time ago, nominated me for a moderator in some post along with a list of people who should be, and someone said i didnt have enough resources or skill to be a moderator o.O

We also need a few new moderators that are willing to purge the site of all unholy crap, and It would be nice if WoW models were not allowed also..
Maybe ban basic geomerges while we are at it =/
Vex is co-admin of wc3c, I'm sure he won't help with coding for wc3s.
Though....
I know some one who is great at coding, but isn't really amazingly well known here on wc3s I think. Torch, he was the leader of the project I was a modeler for, that project is now dead, but Torch still is very busy with lotsa stuff, but I don't know anyone else to think of.
