The Crushinator (Neutral)
A small neutral camp exists outside a cave. Inside the camp, you are given a quest to retreive a peice of ancient armor from inside the cave. The cave constits of a short, curvy hallway where, randomly, pillars and elevator doodads rapidly descend to smash intruders (Hence the name). At the end, you must battle a golem using the armor ("Guardian"). Once you slay the Golem, the armor is dropped and a portal opens, leading to the camp outside the cave (Or, for more fun, to some remote city/ruins).

Requires Level [Something]
[Not repeatble, but you may still enter the cave.]

Reward: You get to keep the armor.
If you fail: Nothing, but you can still try the quest in the same game session. Just enter the cave again.

Across the river are some healing herbs that you must sell to some local villiges,
Every race (except trolls) has banned this practice and each village you sell the herbs to you will create new enemies

Failure: Good luck trying to escape every race

Might I suggest having a Hero Quest at whatever level you can become a Hero? Once it's complete you could get a new ability or something, and some kind of aura around your hero (like a Hero Glow, only make it white for the good races and black for the bad). That way not only do you have bragging rights, but you also look cooler too!

I don't really have any suggestions for what the quest would be like yet, but I could probably come up with one once BOB comes out and I can actually see what the map looks like. :)
Just make sure that it's very long and challenging!

Also, have you concidered having class-specific quests that force the player to use the abilities the class has to complete, and reward the player with an item useful to the class? Here are my suggestions:

Elf Druid:
The Roots of Learning
The Elder Druids were experimenting with Shape Shift, and trying to transform into animals other then a wolf. To do so, they needed to closely examine the animals they were trying to become. However, a few of these animals recently escaped! The Elder Druids don't have time to gather them up, so they hired you. The animals are very fast, and you wont be able to keep up with them by running after them, so you have to use your Root spell to catch them. After returning all the animals you are rewarded.
Reward: Transmuted Staff-This staff has been warped in such a way that it appears to be solid yet flexable at the same time. There is a small stag carved at the top. Allows the user to tranform into a stag, enhancing his maximum mana and mana regeneration (and an extra spell or two if you want).

Goblin Thief:
Goblins' Grief
Yikes! The mayor of a nearby Human Village has stolen an sacred Goblin rellic! We need you to get it back for us!!! There are powerful guards aound him, so you'll need to use your Hide ability and wait untill they walk past to get near enough to Pick Pocket the mayor. The "sacred rellic" is really just a stone with nothing special about it.
Reward: Dagger of the Thief-This ancient dagger has been passed on from thief to thief for centuries. You feel more nimble just holding it in your hands. Increases the chance of finding a rare item when using the Pick Pocket ability.

Human Paladin:
Curing a Conflict
My lord, we desperately need your help! Our beloved king has fallen ill, and just as he was about to be fully healed our Clerics ran out of power! Please, we need you to keep him alive untill they regain their power. You must use your Tend Wounds ability on the king while he is periodically taking damage. If you run out of mana, there is a stock of mana potions nearby, but you can only get one every minute (or however long the Paladin will last) and running there will waste valuable time! After the king is kept alive for five minutes the Clerics will get their power back and be able to fully heal the king.
Reward: Sword of Saints- This old sword was kept by a famous Cleric for many years. Some of his powers can still be fealt resinating from the blade. Increases the amount healed from the Tend Wounds ability.

Human Wizard:
Fire Fighter
A nearby village has caught fire! You are given a bucket of water to help put it out and must periodically return to a well to fill it up. The catch is that there are still people in some places, and to reach them before they are killed from the fire you must walk in the fire, causing damage. If you use your Shield of the Immortal spell you wont take damage. Also, there may be rubble blocking the way that can only be moved using your Archane Blast spell.
Reward: Scepter of Immortality- Ancient wizards have cast many potective spells on this scepter. Decreases damage taken from magical attacks.

Orc Alchemest
The Potent Potion
The village chief has fallen gravely ill. You have been assigned to cure him with a potion. The potion you need is an incredibly rare potion you get from using your Potion Brewing ability.
Reward: None decided yet, I'll come up with something once more abilities are added.

Orc Berserker:
Bloodless Berserkers
Ugh, the puny new recruits for becoming a Berserker are pitiful! You there, show them how the thirst for blood really feels! You have to take a group of VERY weak Berserkers out, and help them slay their first beasts. Of course, it will be a bit of a challange, since they wont get the "thirst" if you do all the killing. You have to use Battle Orders often to allow them to do some actual damage, and later take most of the hits for them if they get too low on health. After 20 kills they will get the "thirst for blood".
Reward: Axe of the Bloodthirsty- These large axes are given to berserkers who have done great things for the Horde. When used, the Berserker does a powerful melee attack.

Orc Hunter:
Hunting the Hunters
There's an army advancing on us! If we want to survive the raid without a considerable loss then we're going to need to ambush them! You have to go out with a small force of warriors and use your Fog Trap ability to confuse the enemy while the warriors fight them.
Reward: None decided yet, I'll come up with something once more abilities are added.

Undead Warlock
Unleashing the Demon
One of those damned apprentice Warlocks let loose an uncontrolabe Demon! Unfortionatly, it was too powerful for the last foolish Warlock we sent after it, so now we're stuck with you! Apparently this Demon cannot be destroyed through normal attacks and spells, but needs to be dispelled out of this world by a Master Warlock. What we need you to do is blind the beast with your Orb of Darkness spell while the Master Warlock begins casting the spell. Unfortionatly, the blinding doesn't last long enough, and you are forced to call down your own demon with the Ritual of Bemôra spell to "tank" the monster while the Master Warlock finishes casting the dispelling spell. The reward could be a few things.
Reward: Orb of the Demon Master- This pure black orb emits faint whispers when a demon in nearby. Allows the Warlock to dispel a demon he creates (very long recast).

I hope you like my ideas, and hopefully you'll finish the abilities so I can make more with the other classes! :P

EDIT: Added titles (some of them are pretty corny, so go ahaid and change them if you want  ), changed the rewards so they would work with the game, and fixed some spelling/grammer.

Holy **** man... u like writing or what? anyway good idea about that hero quest thing, i guess we could do a version of it so that u can get some cool glow if u do it at lvl 35.

Nice ideas btw :D

There is no trolls in loa btw...
#36
nice ideas silver, only one problem, we cant make skills become better after a quest since then we would also need save code to save that, maby an item that made pickpocking etc.. bettetr...
#37
There you go, fixed it up a bit so now it should fit.

I like coming up with quests, not writing. 8)
#38
Same shit diffrent name :D anyway ur good at writing quests then.
#39
As im the one making all these quests, maybe i should be more active in the quest thread? :D

The problem with class specific quests is:
More work -> Less quests

I can make the same amount of quests (but let them work for all classes) and then alot more ppl will make them. Otherwise i will have to make huge amounts or every class will only have about 3 quests in the end ^^

Current finished quests:
Letter Runner
Wolf Hunt

(Yes i know i havent been very active, but anyways :D)
#40
Well, I was thinking of only having one or two per class, just to give some very nice items that help the class out. You could still have tons of normal quests in the game...

But you are the quest-maker, so whatever you think is best.

I can't wait untill BOB, then I can actually make quests that fit the game better! :D
#41
Aha yea mixing normal quests and class quests will probably be best =)

wot is bob?

Quests update:
Ancient Riddle - A wise orc named "Gnorguk" lives in frostforge mountains, surrounded by dangerous polar bears. You must fight your way to him, and answer a riddle. The right answer gives u a mighty artifact, but the wrong answer curses you for 2 min.

Letter Delivery - Take a letter from one warehouse keeper to the other (between 2 cities). Nothing special ^^

Wolf Hunt - The shop keeper tells you to hunt down some wolves, kill 5 and return to him for a reward. (Both humans and elves have this quest)

The Druid's Potion - Kill a spider surrounded by spiderlings and return to the druid with its venom to get a healing potion.

Frost Scorpion Hunt - At level 1, you are a weak orc and therefor have no respect among the orc. You must kill some deadly frost scorpions to prove yourself worthy the class of a warrior.

A demi-god known as the grim reaper has decided to Kill off the undead. We're about to send an onslaught to Overwhelm him, but we know it wont.
While The demigod is distracted i want you to go to his shrine and steal the skull that gives him power
Careful, he may not have magic afterwards but he is still mighty

Reward- A Reapers Scyth- Grants Powerful blows that only affect humans. Gives Secret quests where the discription should be...

Secret quests- Death to the demigods
1) Pan (Satyre) (Greek Mythology)
2) Chiron (Centaur) (Greek Mythology)
3) Minotaur

Pan- You must search in the mountains for a scream, little water food or shelter is available so you may become ill fast (negative health regen)

Chiron- Over the mighty hills lives the wisests of centaurs, You must battle armies or evade them to get to this centaur

Minotaur- Find you way to the middle, fight the minotaur then find your way out before other beasts kill you

Reward- Aura of the Mighty- possibly an extra big or extravagant heros glow and raises strength, agility and intelligenc by a lot

I dunno about the first one, but a "Minotaurs maze" quest would be fun. We got lots of space for underground places!
