Arcane Competition

I'll enter and start making the spells today...

If you read the spell's rules you will notice that you have plenty of time to do your spells. Take your time guys, I won't move a finger until the 1st of June.

Boy, this should be good

Well, this'll be fun. Count me in. My spell(s) will be s00p3r 1337 compared to your n0t-s0-1337 spells. Mine's gonna be pimped out with special sound effects! W00T! LEETNESS! Anyways, good luck to all those who will feel my 1337 wrath with sound-effect spells. I've read the rules and crap extremely closely and know exactly what I'm going to make.
Btw, Daelin, what about aura spells? What about spells like immolation? What about spells that summon items and things like that? You're really not putting up enough catagories. There should be about 20-25, but it's probably not worth you're time. Anyways, I guess we're all getting lazy. Who cares? That's my question. Either way, you guys are all going to lose to my 00b3r 1337 spells.
Damn, I sure am cool. NOT. I just posted this up so I can notify you I'm in and how many mistakes you made in the first post. Moderaters these days keep getting lazyer and lazyer... no offense, Daelin.

LOL... your post is pretty interesting. This question is pretty good if you didn't real the rules and if you don't have some common sense: What about auras and immolation? Umm... This contest is a little bit more special. I didn't ask you to do auras, immolation, wave, single target, AoE, channeled and so on. I left you to decide what type do you want your spells to be, except the Chain spells since this type of spells are a little special.

And another good questio: "Why only 15 sections?" Why not 100? If you would be able to make GOOD spells in all of them first of all. You have plenty of time (2 months) to make your spells. I didn't add too many sections so you have time to enter all and of course, do quality spells. Coming with a good idea, developing it, making eye-candy and searching for bugs. All these stuff take time. So, from this point of view I am not lazy.

And coming with cool ideas for sections is pretty hard as well. Atleast make them a little different. I don't think I've ever seen a morph or time section before in a contest, though I've seen the future one.

And thirdly, come on dude, I am not lazy but I have a life. If you don't have a life at all, that's a problem. Stay in front of your computer and make spells 24 hours/day. The thing is that firstly I updated the deadline up to 1 June and I did that so I could start rating immediately. From 1 June school will be much easier for me. Until then, hard time.

And let's face it, if there are about 20 contesters, with 25 sections you have like... Oh yeah, 500 spells. I may be good but I have a limit as well. I could post like... 50 sections and get like... 700 spells into the contest and then, you can wait the whole summer for me to rate them. Hpft..

Daelin: It's ok that ther aren't 100 categories, but I seriously miss one: The DEBUFF category.
I know that negative debuff spells are in the curses category, but (this is just my personal opinion) a curse can never be positive... or?...

But with exception of that I think it's good categories.

Are we allowed to use custom models for other categories than "Future" (I'm of course not import 1 MB of models in my map, i just thought small model like projectiles and special effects)?

Yes you are. As long as they are good. I'll take them in consideration for Eye-candy. But give credits to the author.
