BLP&TGA Converter

This is a shell for BLPconv. It converts BLP to TGA and TGA to BLP. Its easy to use (at least for me ;D) and you can convert really fast. All the help you need is written in the program. This is first BETA version written in 1 and a half hour. In next version u will get option for mass converting and better UI. Please, while ur writing your comments, write ur oppinions but consider that im only 13. Send bugs or what u think i should do on [email protected]. Note: BLPconv is made by The Prophet, and I made a simple UI for it.

its been fun playing warcraft 3, but i stopped playing it in october because of WoW. CYA ALL!!

any one know were i can get a program to convert pictures to tga? that is free and not trial?

What is a good number of quality when u try to save it to blp? I put 75, then 100 and it always says "runtime error '9':
subscript out of range" what the hell does that mean?

Ummm could some one please make a browser for this, either that or what to put in all of the slots. A kinda confusing layout.

Models? This tool has nothing to do with models. It is used for converting wc3 texure files to tga format so that you can use them in paint or whatever.

What is the problem with that? Can't you just delete this tool and upload a new version like any other resource?

Your'e 13 and programmed this? Impressive. But instead of typing in the path to the file you should be able to select it instead. There isn't much need for this program. We already have wc3 viewer.

The mass convertion option sound great. It can make this tool really usefull.

It converts good but it needs better UI.
I have noticed that darky29 still hasn't
approved new version. Keep it up :wink:

The layout is realy bad:
- no menus
- no filebrowser
- no file preview

All that points are need for a good converter...

I've got a question.

Does this allow to convert TGA to paletted BLPs?
Or do you only support jpg-compressed BLPs

i uploaded the new version. youll notice BIG change in UI. its been made easier, and u can convert about 100 images at once(if u have more just click convert again, and begin form image it converted last). it will not show an error if u choose more than 1 hundred, but it will convert only as much as it can. 'destination folder' isnt implemented for now. im too lazy :D. i dnt know what to add, so next ver will be final. im gonna clean up and add comments to the code and ill include the source.

i dnt know if u did need it, but i know that I did need id to convert blps to tgas and vice versa. but, hold ur comments till i upload new version: much, much easier converting, also allows multi-convert(mass).

SkullSzed , That's the reason I quit uploading tools to this site, YOU can't update, you have to upload it again and expecting some admin to delete the other one and approve yours, but for some odd reason Darky29 is the only admin that can do that, and he is always inactive.

Anyways, you did a good work converting stuff, but Did we really need this tool?

i got warcraft 3 viwer so what do i need this for ? inn warcraft 3 viwer you can se models in game and you can convert whit it to more than TGA . :?

im posting this from netcafe so i cant upload new version. i added mass converting and better user interface. i changed it this morning 2 hours after midnight (gmt+1) but i couldnt upload it cuz mom sent me 2 bed :D. i also added a readme file so read all u need there. ill upload it in 5 hours
