Hello and welcome to Wc3Sear.ch's next official contest - the Hero Making Contest! For this contest you will be required to make a totally unique hero using no imported models, skins or icons. Here are the rules:
Create a totally unique hero, using only Blizzard's provided resources.
Submit your hero in a small size map to the Hero Making Contest section of the Spells section of this site.
Only one hero may be created per user.
The hero must be based off of Blizzard's standards - that means it can only have 10 levels, three regular abilities with three levels each, and one ultimate.
You may only use your own resources - nothing from anyone other than yourself.
The map should have a basic terrain and a variety of creeps to test the hero on.
The map must be made in the regular World Editor, no extra editors/add-ons may be used (for example, WE Unlimited may not be used).
Triggered and JASS spells are allowed, but they should be kept neat, you will be judged on neatness.
Your map must have no imported objects - your hero should only be made with Blizzard's resources - NO HERO GLOWS MAY BE IMPORTED.
Make your hero balanced - units will be judged on it. Overpowering heroes will not win.
Your hero must be made solely by yourself - no teams or groups.
The deadline is over - Judging has begun!
The prize is a user title of your choice.
Judging method is still to be decided, so try and make your hero all around well made.

I think he means dont use anything made by anyone else. Dont use a skin made by someone else, but are we alot to use downloaded TOOLS from the site to convet and what not. Otherwise it think its impossible....
1 more thing. Do we have to provide a model or can we use a basic one?
Or does he mean useing blizzards skins on there model, but then we will still have to import won't we, oh and another thing if custom skins and models are not allowed jass should not be allowed to keep things fair.
Boy you guys seem out of your element. I think he means that we have to make a new hero with only what we have in the Editor already. It's like a hero arena, make your own hero...this'll be fun.
If We suck as a artist but really want to put a hero up can we do a non-custom model and mostly using a old skin with some changes? I really want to get a custom hero on this but I am like the worst artist in the world.
uhh, ive already made a custom hero with a custom set of spells, and i think he's pretty balanced. this guy is ranked #2 most d/l of spells. i just used a spell breaker for the hero. to me, he's pretty balanced. he's got pretty powerful spells, but they cost a pretty large amounts of mana and he's not that hard to kill... here's the URL, and ill submit the dude. http://www.wc3sear.ch/?p=Spells&ID=297
i have a question dude!! ive made a custom hero with his own set of spells a long time ago, he's been submitted for almost a month. does he still count as a contestant?
