WW; I believe the oldest evidence of a Dragon is from China, about 2000BC. It's quite likely the idea spread, but European Dragons are quite different to Asian Dragons.

I'm very interested in vikings, probably because I'm half Swedish, and I didn't know my name originally meant relic, lol.

I wonder where viking got the ideas of giant sea serpent from, there are no realy big snakes in scandinavia, maybe they found a skeleton of a plesiosaur???

btw trolls and gnomes also came form Scandinavia from what I know, and vikings also believed in giants.

Heard of Loch Ness? I'm pretty sure the Sea Serpents in Norway/Sweden and Lock Ness in Britain came from the same place..

If Hird is a translation from Hyrde (Norwegian), and not the original word..

A Hyrde is a great warrior, most describing word would be; Hero.

He also would be a Viking, most likely the leader of the tribe.

Werewulfnah, i say doomguard looked like the demon lords from D2, in which they got that off D1 and then in which they got from the idea of the evil cursed thing which i really despise..the devil.

I don't think the Vikings tok the sea serpent from Loch Ness either, but where did Loch Ness come from? We all know - he ain't a real sea serpent. It's sometimes even a log.
