Personally, I hate anime, I can't stand it. Hell, I rather watch the New York Yankees win a game and Boston Red Sox lose (That would suck) than watch anime. What doesn't help is its all over the place in games like Warcraft. I don't like that, if its a game about western fantasy, wizards and demons and s**t, it shoud stay a western fantasy game. Just to name a few, "Anime Hero Arena" and "DBZ RPG". I can't really give an all to specific reson of why I hate it to much, there are like one or two that I like, but I think the main reasons I hate it: Oversized eyes, These things have a diameter of a freakin' car wheel, 2. Stupid plots. Everythings basiclly the same, save the world from the Curse of the Dragon Demon King. Almost every plot is the same, its alyways this save the world crap.

Whats with all this baseball or whatever you're on about crap? Its so pointless, see a bunch of people run around trying to get a ball. Who in their right minds would watch something like that?

And you complain of saving the world. ALL forms of entertainment are mostly about saving the world. There are anime which aren't about saving the world as well. Oh, but as far as you're concerned saving the world is a pointless thing? Ok, so I take it you hate Lord of the Rings as well? Or just a fair few ammount of movies produced? I guess you must hate WC3's storyline as well, with all of that saving the world from the Burning Legion. Saving the world is an overdone plot line, but there are ways to change it

Oh, and your complaints of the drawing style date back to the original "Western" style they copied from, a wide and expresive eye style popular before the famous days when cartoons were hastily slapped together just to advertise some random thing

Oh, and you've obviously seen the horrendes "4 Kids" dubs. The correct word to describe what "4 Kids" does to anime is "Butcher"

Other dubs are fine.

Oh, and there are eastern influences in Warcraft. Take for instance dragons who don't want to roast everything in their paths. Or the Night Elven architecture

But seriously, you're narrow minded. There are good anime, just like there are bad ones. And at that, different people have different likes. I don't know what these "Socks" or "Yankees" you're on about are, but whatever they do sounds so boring I'm feeling tired just reading it

i think that exposing people to all those anime on the tv makes them want to draw anime too, wich doesn't help. personally it makes me laugh when i see an attempt to make a scary demon but the author gives him big eyes and a small pointy micheal jackson nose.
for an art style i think that it is instant defeat if you begin with anime.

Wrong. Anime is NOT realism. Ever noticed how they're drawn? Guess that should explain a lot.

For those not aware what seperates anime from American cartoons *sigh*, anime is treated the same as if you watched some sort of Western drama. Yes I know, some plots just get damn fishy these days. You gotta blame the directors or whoever thinks of funky crap.

I like anime so what? some stuff that is called "anime" sucks hard (see pokemon, digimon, and all the other crap derived from them) but please watch the complete Xishio saga of Kenshin before saying that all anime is crap.

Anime isn't about realism. As much as I know about it (and that's not much), it's about idealism. Huge eyes, massive hair and thin limbs and such are, from what I see, the eastern vision of a perfect person. There's nothing I can see particularly wrong with it, and, well, suggesting sport as an alternative is a bad decision.

Im going to say anime is just a waste of time... it was acceptable before we could make decent 3d animaitons quickly.

The art style is usually shitty, because they need to make a shitload of frames quickly no EXCUSE!

Emotions are exagerated, and make it even more dumb.

I find it entertaining that you make fun of anime's art style...as if loony toons, dexter's lab, ed ed & eddy, and all that stuff has more realistic or less exaggerated styles? Yeah, Elmer Fudd and Johny Bravo is so much more realistic then some of the more mainstream anime characters.

So are the storylines of "Dumb and Dumber" and "The Terminator" the same to you, too? I could go forever into that comment. Granted, there are a disturbingly high number of mass-produced copy-cat anime, but to say that all anime is the same is, short of any other word- ignorant.

I find as much diversity in anime as I do in Ameircan live action movies. What you are doing would be basically the same as judging all movies after seeing only "Resident evil apocalypse" and completely ignoring the thousands of others that actually have logic and storylines. You DO know that there are different genres of Anime, right? You DO know thet they have varying level of realism and complexity, and that not all are like DBZ, right?? If all you have been exposed to is the garbage on kids WB and cartoon network, then I sincerly appologize...Its just a pitty that mostly only the little immature boy shows (DBZ, Naruto, Digimon, One piece, Pokemon) get released over here while the actual GOOD stuff does not, or if it does, is butchered beyond belief. That is why I dont watch US-released anime....it is a disgrace. Because some of these anime actually DID have good stories until they were watered down to that of the intelligance of a lobotomized basket case.

If you want to judge anime, at least dont judge it by the US releases...that is just unfair because those DO suck and only give a false impression of anime.

I think the whole anime hate thing is just an eastern-western relationship. dont understand? well if you ask most americans theyll say all asian people look the same. ask an asian person (and yes,i have done this) theyll say that all white people look the same. there are many other examples of this. ask a metal head about rap and theyll say that all rap sounds the same. ask a hip-hop person and theyll say that all metal sounds the same. its just a matter of not caring to point out specific qualities so then we just generalize it and say it's "all the same".

i guess the only thing thats the same about all anime is that their mouths move the same: up and down. deaf people will have a really hard time reading their lips.

oh and complaining that battle.net is always hosting anime hero arena and DBZ RPG is like screaming "i have down's syndrome!" just look how many fucking times dota is hosted. blizzard should just demolish warcraft and rebuild it as DOTAcraft.
