SilverSongExcuse me, I've attended a funeral in another game before for a character and person who died. Actually I've attended more than a few. Each time there was a funeral for a beloved character&person that died, the people running the world were always in full attendance to show their respects. There were special flowers and foods brought in and the employees of the world would transform a person's favorite zone from PvP to Non-Agression for the day of the ceremony. They also dedicated a new celestial body of stars to the heavens of the world when a beloved employee died. For every PC that dies in real life, a new star is added to the night skies tagged with their primary character name.
Different Game, I don't think it really matters what happened in other games.
There were about, what? 30 Horde there. This is one server outta 30 or more (each containging thousands and thousands of people, all with their own delemers) and about 30 people turning up . I don't think Blizzard would come to defend it from disruption.
Heck! The announcement wasn't even made on the Official WoW forums! Blizz Employee's rarely check their realm boards (if ever)as it is and I don't think they'd visit someone elses site either.
I am almost 100% sure they didn't even know about it.
Also I watched the movie, I love it, I think it's funny even. But that's only Game-Wise. In real life I feel sorry for the person and their family for their loss, but in game as I said. I found it funny.
Infact, I play on Illidan server. I play alliance on there and I know the guild. And always have since I first bought the game (long before this event occured).
SilverSong A few more things... if I were playing in WoW I would be playing a Bard, and if I were playing on that server, I would pen my own songs and sing/spam them in the townships mourning the loss of this favorite PC and praising everyone who died that day to attend her funeral as heroes of a noble cause. I would make no mention of the clan that attacked them except for a most vague reference. Perhaps simply as the dark ones.
You can't be Bards in WoW. And what difference would that make anyway .
I wouldn't just sing such a song once, I'd remmember to repeat it every month and every year, lest anyone forget.
I don't really think anyone would really care to be honest.
Yes it was mean for them to disturb it, but it was mostly the fault of the Hoster(s) for putting it in a Contested Region yadda yadda yadda.
Anyway it's months old now, I don't think anyone cares about it anymore (on behalf of Serenity Now).

I am trying to state a point with my CAPS LOCK ok. Im not meant to scare any one with my methods of Signature signing. And what the hell why would we want to settle a dispute over a post in Battlegrounds??? Correct me if Im wrong but this is a trend of posts expressing one thought and another. Eventually we would have people changing sides or continuously being persistent upon their posts. I don't mind the Battlegrounds but it's a bit off topic to be stating BG when we have important matters to discuss. This post is going to reach 100 comments and I bet some will state off-topic matters. Like everyone else and I stated it's a memorium. You wouldn't believe how far the measures go as to what buddies will do for one and another. Any more reasoning or do I have to give sophisticated posts onto why those want to post 2 of an oppositional contest to see who's right/wrong. And yes we should feel sorry for the person gone and no we shouldn't become Democrats and Republicans over matters like these and yes there's going to be dumb posts and no it is not matters for anyone to laugh basically bc some guy recorded the video for entertainment use when it actually offends many individuals and yes there were insults stating somethings about 70 virgins and all that applies to those simply restating the mocking insults like Matt. most of the members of "serenity now" will grow up some day,and probaly they gonna re-think in what they done, we cant do nothing to change what happened, we can only hope that in the future they change... or burn in hell.

Same could be said for this entire country. You have the freedoms to do and say almost anything you want. However, there is a fine line between what you CAN do and what you SHOULD do (i.e. what is morally acceptable). Behavior like theirs, even in an online game, is not acceptable.

I know that people die everyday, and there are places across the world (Africa, South Asia) where people die or are killed in droves due to violence, famine and civil unrest. However this is a warcraft related site, and this particular death had to do with WoW, so you put 2 and 2 together and you get...yeah, I figured it was a valid subject. If this was a geo-political related site, the subject of those killings and other deaths would probably come up quite frequently. However its not, so it wont.
And to those who keep saying "its just a game." I'll say this; Every time someone passes away there are often 2 memorial services (memorials, not funerals). One held by immediate family and close friends, and one held at their place of work by his/her associates and co-workers. For example, when a policeman or military solider is killed, the family holds a memorial, but the police dept/military unit hold their own service to honor one of their own as well at the dept. or place of operations. This person obviously meant enouph to those clan members to have them consider doign such a thing and to have so many people show up. Like it or not, relationships are formed in that game. Talking over ventrillo while fighting your way through MC is not much different then just hanging out with friends. That online world is like that "place of work." So I see it perfectly logical to hold the memorial at the place where they knew their friend the best. If you actually think Serenity Now was just "playing the game" of "just having fun" (especially reading what they had to say afterward) then I'm sorry, but I find you pretty damn cold hearted.
I mean, vandals defacing war memorials that honor the dead are "just having fun" too, but does that make their actions acceptable?
And for the guy who mentioned about doing it in an FPS. Well, if that was the case, there would never had been a problem, because every FPS you can set up your own server and allow only certain people in. Crashers would have never been a problem. -VGsatomi

The person died in real life of a stroke. A clan raided her in-game funeral. They laughed and taunted and the mercilesly slaughtered for humor and to be "Wicked mosnsterously babical dudeetes and dudes!"
In the end, they are hated everywhere and post trying to bann them from site are being spread like wild fires through the site.

Just don't disrespect the tranquility of a memorium is all I got to say unless you want to be dirupted on your memorium you're giving to others. Fayejin was a WoW fan and nothing could stop it at that. That explains the last walk of her account character which no one will ever touch leave it at that.

I don't understand what does mean 'died for stroke'. I'm very sorry, but english is not my first language. Looking in dictionary I read that means loss of cerebral functions, but also striking with an object. What I really want to know, if that person died violent death or due to an illness.

American free speech is protected by the American Constitution, but while in a Swiss site like this one, that holds no ground. After all, what is illegal in one country may be perfectly legal in another. Some international internet law exists mutually between nations, but that mainly pertains to intellectual property (copywrites in regards to pirated/warez material), or others relating to internaional security (i.e. terrorism and the spreading of dangerous intellectual material). But even then the perpatrator is only subjected to the laws of his/her resident country, whether how loose or strict they may be. As far as mouthing off in a simple message forum like this, it can be governed however its moderators please. We could be like the New York Times and censor out anything that we remotely disagreed with if we wanted to. But that is not how we are- just dont be nieve and think that an Amercian domestic law such as the First Ammendment will protect your actions here on an international message board.
